About the Role
Spectra Recruitment is seeking experienced Sheetmetal Workers, Boilermakers to join a growing team based in Banyo.
This role involves a mix of workshop-based fabrication and on-site installation, with occasional shutdowns, supporting both project work and ongoing maintenance in fast-paced, safety-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG weld and polish stainless to food-grade standards
- Fabricate and install sheet metal and plant components
- Maintain and repair conveyors and processing equipment
- Install and modify pipework, guards, and structures
- Support shutdowns, breakdowns, and upgrades
- Follow food safety, QA and WH&S standards
About You
- Trade qualified Sheetmetal Worker, Boilermaker
- Experience in fabrication and installation
- Confident in TIG welding and light structural work
- Experience with equipment or site installations (advantageous)
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and detail
- WAH, CS, EWP, Forklift are advantageous

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established contractor delivering maintenance and project works across fuel, oil and grain terminal facilities. This is a site-based role focused on valves, piping systems and terminal infrastructure. You will be working in high-risk, live environments where safety, precision and reliability are critical.
In addition to maintenance services, this Brisbane based company specialises in the fabrication, installation and upgrade of stainless steel piping systems, tanks and process infrastructure, supporting industrial clients across the petrochemical, bulk storage and food processing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site maintenance across fuel, oil and grain terminals
- Service and repair industrial valves (gate, ball, butterfly, control)
- Install and replace valves, pipework and mechanical components
- Conduct planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Carry out isolations and reinstatements on live systems
- Support shutdowns, outages and project works
- Fault find and troubleshoot in operational environments
- Interpret P&IDs and comply with permits and WH&S requirements
About You
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Experience in industrial sites, terminals or tank farms
- Background with valves and piping systems
- Comfortable in hazardous environments
- Able to work independently and in teams
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Confined Space, WAH, EWP, Forklift are advantageous

Your Role

Operate all machinery in the Bar department safely and efficiently

Ensure all loads are quality inspected, tagged, and scanned before loading

Conduct pre-start checks on machinery and equipment

Unload racks and load according to the live load list

Read and follow delivery preparation & loading requirements

Use pyramid loading and ensure dunnage is kept even on all layers

Maintain tidy loadout racks and workspace
Optional: Learn the Loadout area, a fast-paced environment coordinating product movement using the overhead crane
