 Aluminium Welder / Fabricator Needed! 

Location: Darra, Brisbane QLD

Pay Rate: $45.00/hr (Above Award + OT available!)

Role: Full-Time | Work Schedule: 9-Day Fortnight (Every 2nd Friday OFF! )

Spectra Recruitment is looking for a skilled, self-motivated Aluminium Welder / Fabricator to join the team of one of our industry leader clients in Darra!

If you know your way around a MIG welder, take real pride in your trade, and love the idea of a 3-day weekend every fortnight, this is the job for you!

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  •  Crafting Tipper Bins: Using your trade skills to build high-quality aluminium tipper bodies.
  •  MIG Welding: Precision aluminium MIG welding that looks clean and lasts.
  •  Prep & Fabricate: Marking and cutting aluminium sheet and extrusions.
  •  Workshop Tools: Operating machinery like the guillotine, saw, drillpress, 5" multicutter, and overhead crane.

What We’re Looking For:

  •  Experience That Counts: Solid experience in aluminium MIG welding/fabrication (boilermaking or trade qualification highly preferred).
  •  Blueprint Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets easily.
  •  Work Autonomy: Capable of running your day unsupervised and keeping to production deadlines.
  •  Quality & Safety First: High pride in your workmanship and strong commitment to WHS practices.

  •  Awesome Roster: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with every second Friday off! 
  •  Great Pay: $45+/hr depending on your experience + plenty of overtime available.
  •  Uniform Provided: Company uniform supplied after successful probation.
