Mechanical Fitter | TIG Welder – Stainless Steel

Locations: Condell Park, NSW & Lidcombe, NSW

Project Duration: ASAP  – 28th June 2026

Spectra Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter or Welder on behalf of our client for an upcoming project based between the workshop in Condell Park and an on-site installation in Lidcombe.

This role offers excellent hourly rates, long workdays, and strong overtime opportunities throughout the duration of the project.

Pay Rates

  • $60.00 per hour plus penalties
  • Weekend work is required 

Workshop – Condell Park

  • Monday to Friday
  • 6:00am – 3:00pm

On-Site – Lidcombe

  • Expected shifts:
  • 6:00am – 6:00pm
  • 10–12 hour days
  • Saturday and Sunday work required

Key Duties

  • Mechanical fitting and installation works
  • Stainless steel fabrication and TIG welding
  • Welding stainless steel between 2mm–5mm
  • Reading and interpreting drawings
  • Working safely across workshop and live site environments

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Welder
  • Strong TIG welding experience on stainless steel
  • Ability to weld 2mm–5mm stainless steel to a high standard
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Reliable transport and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

Highly Regarded

  • Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting, Fabrication, or Welding
  • Experience with conveyor install desirable
