Mechanical Fitters – Workshop, Site & Shutdown Opportunities

$56 - $80 per hour

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a range of opportunities across both workshop-based roles, site and local shutdown projects. These positions suit trade-qualified individuals looking for either stable, ongoing employment with the potential to go permanent, or higher-paying short-term shutdown work.

Workshop / Site – Pinkenba, Murrarie & Banyo, QLD

  • Temp-to-perm opportunities
  • Consistent full-time hours
  • Mechanical fitting, maintenance and assembly work
  • Strong potential for permanent placement at $56/hour

Shutdown Opportunities – Various Locations

  • Short-term project and shutdown work
  • Day and night shifts available
  • Competitive pay rates: $70 – $80/hour
  • Allowances and accommodation may be provided depending on project

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical fitting, installation and maintenance of equipment
  • Fault finding, repairs and component replacement
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Assembly and alignment of mechanical systems
  • Working safely in both workshop and shutdown environments

Requirements:

  • Relevant Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
  • Previous workshop and/or shutdown experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 12-hour shifts on shutdowns
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
