Fitter/Turner – Manual Machinist - Hemmant
Spectra Recruitment Pty Ltd is currently seeking a skilled Fitter/Turner – Manual Machinist to join our client’s well-established operation in Hemmant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on tradesperson who enjoys precision work and long-term job security. The role offers 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with regular Saturday work and overtime paid at penalty rates.

Your New Role:
As a Manual Machinist, you’ll be a key part of the production team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating manual machines including lathes, mills, drills, and surface grinders.
- Interpreting engineering drawings to machine components to tight tolerances.
- Inspecting and measuring parts to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Maintaining tools and machinery and reporting any faults or issues.
- Collaborating with supervisors and tradespeople to prioritise workloads.
- Following strict health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Who Are You?
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven manual machining experience in a workshop or maintenance environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- A reliable and proactive work ethic.
- Willingness to work 10-hour shifts and occasional Saturdays.
Experience with CNC machinery is beneficial but not essential.
