What You’ll Need:

Your New Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join the Accounts team on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Accounts and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees, covering office, café, and manufacturing staff. You will also be involved in a variety of payroll-related reporting and assist with general accounting duties when required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full-function payroll processing on a weekly basis

• Processing of daily timesheets

• Reconciliation and reporting of payroll items (Super, Payroll Tax, CSA, WorkCover)

• Handling payroll queries and providing support to employees

• Supporting internal and external payroll administration and reporting

• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within payroll processes

• Assisting with general accounts duties including AR, AP, and credit control

Who You Are

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in high-volume payroll processing

• Strong understanding of payroll functions, superannuation, and taxation

• Experience with Employment Hero or similar payroll platforms (highly regarded)

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal

• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Protection relay testing & commissioning (a major part of this role)
• HV system maintenance and fault finding

• Licensed Electrician with HV experience OR Electrical Engineer with HV field service experience
