Spectra Recruitment Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our client's project team in Murarrie, QLD. This positions is on Nigh Shift for a 5 week major shutdown in May 2025.

About The Company:

Our client are Australia’s leading recycled and kraft paper manufacturer, specializing in the processing of paper, cardboard, and other recyclable materials, converting them into sustainable packaging solutions. As a leader in sustainability, this company plays a crucial role in reducing waste and promoting a circular economy, with a focus on innovation, environmental responsibility, and creating a greener future. The facility is known for its state-of-the-art technology and commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its operations. 

After many years of operations, they are having a major shutdown through May and are needing highly skilled personnel like yourself to make it happen. 

Your New Role:

• Drive a strong safety culture including completing audits and inspections, workplace observations, permits, incident management, pre starts and toolboxes
• Conduct walkouts, planning, scoping and activities to ensure site works can be constructed efficiently and in accordance with the shutdown plans and delivery schedule
• Lead and manage a team of subcontractors including briefs, scope of work, escalating issues and that works are completed compliant to contractual agreements
• Liaise with Site Engineers to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction
• Foster a team culture of ownership, provide development opportunities, training and address performance issues

Who Are You:

• Trade qualification or qualification in related field
• Sound computer skills
• Solid supervisor experience
• Great communication, time management and problem-solving skills
• End-to-end project / works delivery experience
