HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANIC – SCANIA & MAN TRUCKS

$47–$62/HR + PENALTIES + $25/DAY TRAVEL ALLOWANCE + LAFHA WHEN WORKING AWAY

Introduction

Spectra Recruitment Pty Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-established equipment and heavy vehicle business on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a primarily workshop-based position working on Scania and MAN heavy vehicles, with occasional travel required for specific jobs and projects.

Your New Role

• Servicing and maintaining Scania and MAN trucks
• Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
• Engine and drivetrain repairs
• Brake, steering and suspension repairs
• Component replacement
• Preventative maintenance
• Vehicle inspections
• Troubleshooting mechanical issues
• General workshop mechanical work
• Completing maintenance and service records
• Occasional travel to sites for specific jobs

The role is predominantly workshop based, with travel only required when specific jobs or projects call for it.

Who Are You?

• Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualification or relevant experience
• Previous Scania and/or MAN truck experience
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Heavy vehicle servicing and repair experience
• Good mechanical knowledge
• Strong safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel when required

Desirable Tickets & Requirements:

• MR Truck Licence – desirable
• EWP Licence – desirable
• White Card – desirable
• CPR – desirable
• Working at Heights – desirable
• Confined Spaces – desirable

Your Rewards
