TA Welder / 2nd Class MIG Welder

We are currently seeking a TA Welder / 2nd Class MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing team in Yatala.

The role involves MIG welding steel together to manufacture reinforcing cages and components used in precast concrete products.

The Role

• MIG welding steel bars and components together
• Fabricating and assembling reinforcing steel cages
• Following measurements, drawings and production specifications
• Cutting, positioning and preparing steel
• Using MIG welders, grinders and hand/power tools
• Assisting with the production of precast concrete products
• General trade assistant and labouring duties
• Manual handling of steel and materials
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

About You

• Previous MIG welding experience
• 2nd Class Welder, TA Welder or similar experience
• Comfortable welding steel
• Experience working with reinforcing steel or cages is highly regarded
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
• Strong work ethic and willing to get stuck in

This role would suit someone with solid MIG welding skills who may not hold a full welding qualification but has the practical experience to produce quality welds.
