Forklift Operator / Recycling Labourer  

$37.64 per hour — $46.67 per hour

About the Role

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Forklift Operators/Labourers to join a busy recycling facility based in Yatala.

This is a hands-on position that combines forklift operation, recycling machinery operation, material handling and general labouring duties. The successful candidates will be comfortable working in a physical environment and happy to assist across different areas of the facility as required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move recyclable materials and products around the facility
• Load and unload recyclable products, materials, machinery and equipment
• Assist with the operation of recycling equipment and machinery
• Load and feed materials into recycling machinery as required
• Monitor recycling equipment and report any issues to supervisors
• Perform general manual labour and material handling duties
• Assist forklift operators and other team members as required
• Move and organise materials throughout the yard and processing areas
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards
• Perform general housekeeping and yard maintenance
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Current LF Forklift Licence – Essential
• Previous forklift operating experience
• Experience in recycling, manufacturing, warehousing or a similar environment is highly regarded
• A willingness to perform general labouring and manual handling duties
• Comfortable working around machinery and in an outdoor/industrial environment
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive manual tasks
• Strong safety awareness
• Reliable and punctual work ethic
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision

Shift Times & Pay Rates

Monday to Friday

• Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm — $37.64 per hour + penalties
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm — $42.91 per hour + penalties
• Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am — $46.67 per hour + penalties
