Job Description
Spectra Recruitment are working with a leading Transport Company who are a seeking a highly competent finance professional to join an internal accounts team. The position will be on a full-time basis, is an on-site role and located between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Immediate Start required.
The Client
The position has arisen due to the significant growth curve of the business in the last 12-18 months. The business has several arms to it including refrigerated transport and third-party logistics, warehousing and more.
Your new role
The core day to day tasks include accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, coding, reconciliations, compliance and some reporting.
Reporting directly to the Accountant major responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
- Entering and Verifying Supplier and Sub-Contractor Invoices
- Entering Debtor Invoices
- Reconciling Creditors and Debtors ledgers and statements
- Reconciling business bank accounts and credit cards
- Responding to queries
You will be working within the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
To Succeed in this role you will need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least two years of applicable experience
- Working towards CA or CPA will be an advantage
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of XERO.
- Excellent organisation and administration skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
